7 weeks pregnant and low heart rate, weird reading from doctor?

Question: Hi, I have never posted on here before, but I am reading all these inspirational stories, so I wanted to post mine hoping it will turn out to be inspirational as well. I am 35 years old and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for about a year. Last October I had an ectopic pregnancy (it was the worst!) and this past June I had a chemical pregnancy. In August we saw a fertility specialist who suggested Clomid and then IUI. The first round of IUI (with follistem) worked and I became pregnant. I am now 7 weeks 1 day pregnant and on Wednesday I had my second vaginal US. For my 6 week US everything looked good. My RE confirmed that it was in my uterus and not an ectopic. The yolk sac was seen and it was 2.5 mm - which she said was good. She said it was a good size and the sac shape was fine. She was not worried. My betas were at 6,368. No heartbeat was heard. For my 7 week US, the news was not as good. She saw the fetal pole and it measured 5.8mm. The yolk sac was 3.8. She heard and saw the heartbeat - I was so excited! But, she said that the fetus was too far in the corner to hear it on the US. I guess it was too close to the uterine wall to read the sound wave?? The machine initially said that the heartrate was 120 and that was good. But then she said the machine was acting funny and she didn't think it was right. She then said 105. However, she said that she didn't trust that reading either. Then she listened with her ear...I heard nothing...and said it was most likely 90 and that she was concerned. She said that she has been doing this for 20 years and she can tell when a heart rate is too slow. My husband turned green and almost fainted. She told me to come back in a week and to hope for the best, but expect the worst. She said 90 was not good and was really low for being 7 weeks pregnant. Bc I did IUI I know that the ovulation timing is correct and she did not misdiagnose that. This is what really boggles my mind. My husband left the room before me. After he left, she came back in with this concerned look on her face. She said that she actually thinks the heartrate is only 60-80 and she is REALLY worried, but she didn't want to say anything in front of my husband. What??? Isn't that a bit unprofessional? And I am going to a VERY reputable fertility clinic in New York City. So, that's the story. I am freaking out. How can the machine say 120 and the doctor say 60? That is a big difference! I am having no spotting or cramping and feel fine. I have been on progesterone suppositories for weeks now. My pregnancy has been going fine so far, hardly any sympoms, just big sore breasts, really tired, no appetite whatsoever (but not morning sickness) and nothing tastes good. I also remembered after my visit with her that my OB once told me that I have a tilted uterus. Could this be part of the problem as well?

Answer: Hey hun, i dont really have an answer to your question, but I have everything crossed for you and Im thinkin of you. I hope that she was wrong, im sure trying to hear a heartbeat at 7 weeks is close to impossible, I know you can see it at around 8 weeks but not hear it? Wish you the best of luck hun xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
